Youth Program Liaison VISTA Assignment Description
This VISTA project will center on strengthening the Peace Builders’ Junction (PBJ) youth program to provide youth with an opportunity to connect around the development and practice of conflict resolution skills. It will involve program and curriculum development, program evaluation, communication and outreach, and some fundraising and grant writing. The VISTA member will work with staff, youth, and volunteers to find creative ways to reach and engage youth in fun and edifying ways; recruit, train, and support volunteers in youth work; and help build positive connections between youth and adults.
DRC is looking for a motivated and adaptable individual to help DRC build its capacity to serve youth in the Mt. Airy community. School Liaison VISTA Assignment Description
This VISTA project will center on building DRC’s infrastructure to expand restorative measures to St. Paul schools. It will involve outreach, volunteer training and management, and fundraising and grant writing activities. The VISTA member will work with staff, schools, and volunteers to develop relationships, as well as systems and materials to more clearly communicate and deliver services.
